We are Suffolk University students who saw elderly people in our lives fall victim to phone scams and decided to build a real solution.
Phone scams targeting the elderly have become one of the fastest-growing forms of fraud in the United States. Criminals impersonate banks, the IRS, Medicare, and Social Security to steal billions of dollars every year from people who simply have no easy way to verify whether a call is real.
The solutions that existed required smartphones, apps, technical knowledge, or subscriptions. None of that works for the people who are most at risk.
TheCallMatch was built to be as simple as possible. Text a number, get an answer. That is it.
